On Sunday February 5th we will be hosting a traditional Mexican Cooking Class where Chef Dudley will teach you how to make three different styles of tamales.
Participants will learn how to make tamales from three different regions – Oaxaca, Michoacan, and the Yucatan. We will be exploring different ways to wrap and dress a tamal and use a range of ingredients including hierva santa, mole negro, and ranchero salsa. Two of the tamales will be with meat and one will be vegetarian.
The class is being taught by Chef Dudley has opened restaurants in cities across the US and was featured in the PBS special about the history and traditions of Mexican food. The Mexican Government rated one of his restaurants as one of only 23 authentic Mexican restaurants in the US.
The class will be from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday February 5th. The cost is $75 a person. Space is limited.
